SMS notifications, road-route passes, and smarter accounting integrations
This release brings text-message notifications for customers and drivers, pass-based road routes with per-road progress, and a range of improvements to invoicing and accounting integrations.
New
- SMS notifications for customers. An address's notification list can now include phone numbers alongside emails, each choosing when to be told a job starts or ends. Every template has its own SMS text with a live cost and length counter, and Settings shows this season's and the last twelve months' usage. SMS stays off until you turn it on and confirm the price.
- Choose how drivers are alerted. Each route can notify its drivers of a new dispatch or call-out by push (free, default), SMS, or both, with phone calls coming soon. If a text can't be sent, the companies involved are notified instead of nothing happening.
- Silent routes. A route can be set to never send customer notifications, ideal for a second pass over addresses another route already covers.
- Remove a subcontractor. You can now remove an accepted subcontractor from the subcontractor panel, with a two-step confirmation. Their addresses and future dispatch work come back, routes return without their drivers, and completed work stays on record.
- Season prices on the customer dashboard. Customers who pay per season now see the season price, with covered work types shown as included and hourly rates showing their unit.
- Pass-based road routes. Roads can require 1 to 4 passes, darkening step by step on the map as you draw. Big routes save as soon as the roads are stored, and saving can offer to trim bits that spilled into side streets. Progress now counts passes, so a two-pass road is half done after one pass and driving the full route reaches 100%.
- "Not done" view for road dispatches. The dispatch panel can show just the stretches still missing passes, coloured by how many each lacks, along with the reason, note, and who finished a run early.
- Fee invoicing: "only not invoiced in the period" filter, which works together with the customer, fee type and contractor filters.
- Dynamics NAV: bill each address as its own debtor. Companies whose NAV keeps one debtor per address can now have each invoice sent with the address's property ID as the debtor number and invoices made one per address.
- Share one accounting customer across several customers. Multiple SnowManager customers can now be linked to the same customer in e-conomic, Dinero, Billy, Fortnox or QuickBooks for invoicing, each keeping its own name and address.
Improved
- e-conomic invoices now fill in the billing address in e-conomic's proper Address, Zip, City and Country fields and set the customer's EAN for e-invoice routing. Customer sync can now bring country and EAN across, with an optional setting that makes e-conomic the source of truth for customer name, address, country, CVR and EAN.
- Accurate invoice tab counts. The All, Draft, Sent, Error and Archived tabs now count every matching invoice across all pages, on customer, subcontractor and as-subcontractor invoices. Seasonal and fee invoicing also open in a much wider window so every column fits.
- Change your answer to a route from the app. An admin who accepted or declined a zone-dispatch route can now change that answer in the app, as on the web, until the route has been driven.
- Per-road passes in the drive record. A road route's drive record shows the pass count per road, with pills like "1/2" on the map and partly-driven stretches drawn in amber, so you can confirm a two-pass road really was driven twice.
- Admins can help drive a run. An admin can start and help drive a run from the phone without being on the crew; their GPS trail shows on the web and they can finish the run.
- Road-route dispatches now alert their drivers by push or SMS, including the drivers of an assigned subcontractor, and route crews now receive the SMS when their route has SMS enabled.
- One notification per job. When an address is on two or more routes in the same dispatch, the customer now gets one "job started" on the first arrival and one "job ended" only when the last route leaves.
- Shorter, cleaner SMS. Verification codes, driver call-outs and default job texts no longer repeat "SnowManager:" or the company name, and driver call-out texts are clearly sent from SnowManager.
- Dialogs opened inside another popup are no longer blocked by a grey overlay, and Escape now closes only the top dialog.
Fixed
- No more unexpected sign-outs. Subcontractors are no longer signed out when they open Edit on an address shared with them. More broadly, you're only signed out when your session has actually ended; trying to open something that belongs to another company now shows a clear "not allowed" message while keeping you signed in, on web and mobile.
- Call-outs stay visible. An unanswered route no longer drops off the app's Invitations list overnight while the call-out is still open, and a declined route stays on the card so it can be taken on again from the phone.
- "Not possible" stops count as done on the app's route cards, matching the web.
- Subcontractor admins now leave a GPS trail when they accept and drive a call-out themselves without first rostering a crew.
